| 内容記述 | 本研究では、帰国生受け入れ形態の一つである「帰国生クラス」に対する帰国生の意識の分析を通して、その存在意義や問題点を明らかにすることを目指し、帰国中学生387名を対象とした質問紙調査を基に分析を行った。研究1では、「帰国生クラス」に対する肯定度を、①帰国生クラス②一般混入クラス③段階的混入クラスの受け入れ形態別に統計的に分析した結果、帰国生クラスでは肯定度が高く、一般混入クラスでは低い傾向が有意に示された。研究2では、受け入れクラスに対する自由記述内容を分析した結果、帰国生クラス在籍者では、「気楽で楽しい」雰囲気の中で「帰国生としてのありのままの自分」を発揮して「多様な個性と価値観」を認め合う一方「閉鎖性」「緊張感のなさ」「学習内容への不満」などの問題があること、一般混入クラス在籍者では、帰国生クラスを否定的に捉えつつも、一般クラス内では様々な困難を抱えていることが明らかになった。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Returnees, children who return to Japan after living abroad, face the problem of reassimilation into Japanese schools, and Japanese schools face difficulties in finding the best methods of accommodating these students. The present study investigates the effects and problems of special classes for returnees, and returnees’ attitudes towards them, and makes suggestions for improvement. Based on questionnaire results of 387 junior high school returnees, a quantitative and qualitative analysis was made of three types of returnee classes. Study 1 contains a statistical analysis of the degree of returnees’ acceptance of 1) returnee-only classes, 2) mixed classes, and 3) step-by-step mixed classes. The analysis suggests that returnees have a more positive attitude towards returnee-only classes and a more negative attitude towards mixed classes. Study 2 analyzed the attitudes of returnees towards returnee-only classes and mixed classes through free description. Some students in returnee-only classes reported that they could “behave naturally as a returnee” and had “mutual respect of each other’s characters and views” in a “pleasant and easy-going atmosphere”, while they complained about a “closed world”, “looseness”, “negative comments of classmates”, and “poor contents in their studies”. Returnees in mixed classes reported that they made an effort to hide their foreign experiences and adjust themselves to Japanese practices and requirements, while suffering from “difficulty in self-adjustment”, the “high level of classes”, and “too many classmates”. | |||||
