| 内容記述 | 日本語の撥音は、外国人に対する日本語音声教育において特に習得の難しい音の一つとして、「誤用」の観点から多く問題が指摘されているが、学習者音声の実態についてはこれまでほとんど論じられていない。本稿では、中国人日本語学習者に対して撥音の読み上げ調査を行った結果をもとに、その実現音声について音声的バリエーションという観点から考察を行った。調査の結果、中国人日本語学習者における撥音の音声的バリエーションには音環境により一定の傾向が認められた。多くの場合、日本語母語話者と同様、後続する音の別により実現音声が決まるが、ゆれも見られ、その場合、撥音に先行する母音の別と、先行母音の調音位置が関係するという日本語母語話者にはない別の規則が働いている可能性が示唆された。ここで得られた知見は、日本語音声教育に生かすことができるだけでなく、第二言語としての日本語の音声習得研究にも寄与できるものと考える。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This paper discusses the phonetic variants of Japanese mora /N/ spoken by Chinese learners of Japanese based on the result of pronunciation tests. Although /N/ has been often argued in Japanese phonetic education from the viewpoint of timing control of mora, little attention has been paid to the means by which the learners of Japanese actually pronounce it and the variants of this pronunciation. As a result of this test, the phonetic variants of /N/ seen in Chinese learners of Japanese shows the regular patterning which is ruled not only by the following sound, in a similar way to native Japanese speakers, but also by the preceding vowel and its place of articulation. The fact that the pronunciation of the Japanese /N/ is related to the preceding vowel in the learners' speech suggests the possibility that the learners of Japanese would make up the original rule in speaking Japanese /N/ as a second language, which is not observed in the speech of native Japanese speakers. | |||||
