| 内容記述 | 本研究では、外国系児童の教育に携わる学校教員のインタビューでの語りから、「日本語」と「母語」と「教科学習」の三者の関連についてどのような認識枠組みを形成しているかを解明することを目的とした。その際、「日本語」と「母語」が相互依存的に発達し「教科学習」にも積極的な影響を与えるというCumminsの「相互依存仮説」の観点を用いて考察した。その結果、「母語」と「日本語」が相互依存的に発達するという認識が形成されにくいこと、そして「母語」と「日本語」が「教科学習」に果たす貢献については認識されにくいこと、更には「教科学習」を支える「言語能力」と「学力」が関連しない別個のものとして捉えるという特徴を持った認識枠組みを形成していることが明らかになった。最後に、「相互依存仮説」を実証する先行研究の知見が教育現場に還元されない問題点と研修や教員養成の機会、研究者と実践者の「協働」による実践的探求の重要性を指摘した。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The Interdependence Hypothesis explains the interdependence between conversational and academic development in the first (L1, in this case L1 being Vietnamese, Chinese, Cambodian, Laotian, Indonesian, Thai) and the second language (L2, in this case L2 being Japanese). This study analyzes how teachers in an elementary school perceive teaching the school curriculum to non-Japanese students based on the Interdependence Hypothesis. The result of this study reveals that the teachers believe that proficiency in academic learning and the student's mother tongue does not affect each other. The reason being, it was difficult for the teachers to recognize any interdependence between L1 and L2, and the fact that the two languages indeed affect the academic learning of non-Japanese children. From the results mentioned above, it can be concluded that the humongous research proving the effectiveness of the Interdependence Hypothesis has largely been ignored in the elementary school in question. This suggests a need for workshops and training courses emphasizing the importance of the Interdependence Hypothesis. And also, this\ suggests an importance of collaborative research between researcher and practitoner. |
