| 内容記述 | This study introduces the economic, social, and political backgrounds of China in 1980s at the time when Japanese-made manga and anime first entered the country. In addition, it discusses the reception and development of the dynamic culture by analyzing the reception of “Doraemon” in China through \ the following three stages: permeation, growth, and diffusion.\ As evident in the example of “Doraemon”, the acceptance of Japanese-made manga and anime in overseas markets always depends on the social environment of the recipient and involves a process full of contradictions. Although the analysis of the commonality of manga and anime is important, it is still \ difficult to see its complete scope without verifying the acceptance of individual works. At present, manga and anime have been accepted as a commonality in China.\ “Doraemon” represents a foreign culture and is originally made in Japan but now is fully localized as a “symbol of childhood” in China and has become a collective memory for more than four generations of people born in 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s. |
