| 内容記述 | 機械式マウスとバーコードリーダーを組み合わせたデバイスにより、簡易型の拡張現実システムScroll Browserを作成した。Scroll Browserは、バーコード付きマウスを動かすことで、携帯ディスプレイの表示内容をスクロールできる情報表示装置である。ユーザはまず、壁などの上に 貼られたステッカーに印刷されたバーコードを読み取る。このステッカーには、アイコンの絵、名前と、バーコードが印刷されている。つぎにユーザは、この バーコード付きマウスを、ステッカーを始点にして、壁の上を移動させる。すると、あらかじめ用意された画像が、手元のディスプレイに表示され、スクロール する。このようにして、例えば、壁の中の電気配線や、配管の様子を見るような拡張現実アプリケーションを安価に実現できる。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The Scroll Browser is an information browser equipping a hand-held display which scrolls with movement of a mouse. A combination of a mechanical pen-mouse and a bar-code wand is used to detect a position on a wall. First, a user scans a sticker with bar-code on a wall, on which icon image, name, and bar-code is printed. Second, a user moves the pen-mouse on the wall, starting from the sticker. Image contents prepared in the computer is displayed and scrolled on the hand-held display. A user can observe images, for examples, electronic wiring or piping work behind the wall. By using Scroll Browser, we can provide virtual images pasted on a real wall, in less expensive way than using conventional augmented-reality equipments. | |||||
