| 内容記述 | This article examines the role of dance created from the Bible for the human beings through the articles of “the Bible and Dance” by Doug Adams, a professor of Christianity and Arts. Many examples of dances in the Bible have been used for worshiping God and usually done in the forms of either circle dances or line dances, or both. The Biblical meaning of dance forms is to promote a sense of community, shift the attention from oneself and one’s past to others and God, and rebuild self awareness. Also the Bible was a source of the inspiration for dance works by many modern dancers in the 20th century. Dance works were created from the bible story reflected matters of the times. In dance works reflected biblical faith, we discover biblically prophetic qualities which communicate to audiences the reality of the human beings through works. The Bible is to be a source of the inspiration for both worship and theatrical dances, and of profound suggestion to the question of what is the role of dance for the human beings. | |||||
