| 内容記述 | This study clarifies the reality of interactions between children’s body and material in playing with clay in order to reconsider children’s experience on molding activities expression. Three episodes of children’s activities of pasting clay to their body are picked up from participant observation in nursery school. The analysis from the phenomenological viewpoint shows three aspects. First, by pasting clay to some part of his body, the child feels his body boundary clearly and that part special. Second, the child experiences the wave and change of his body boundary. He does not treat the clay as an object itself but responds to it. In this way, he opens his body to the world. Third, the child experiences the fusion when the change of his body boundary becomes deeper. The previous researches mainly examined children’s molding activities as productive activities, however this study focuses on each child’s inner experience and considers the child as a subject of expression. Each episode suggests that children’s expression in playing with clay can not be explained only as a productive activity or an ability for producing, and also finds out that this kind of experience helps children’s self-formation. | |||||
