| 内容記述 | 本稿は、カミンズの著書"Language, Power and Pedagogy"(2000)に沿って、その一連の理論を紹介することを目的とする。本稿ではまず、バイリンガル教育に関する心理言語学的な理論である「BICS/CALP」の概念、「相互依存仮説」、「敷居仮説」の3つについて、基本的な概念を整理するとともに、これらの理論の発表後に起こった議論、反論、誤解に対するカミンズ自身の見解を紹介する。次に、社会における力関係とマイノリティの生徒の学習とを関連付けた「協動的エンパワメント」理論について述べる。そして最後に、カミンズが本書の中で論じている、多文化教育における「トランスフォーマティブ教育」の可能性に言及して論を終える。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This paper discusses theories of Jim Cummins as well as later discussions on those theories, mainly based on his book "Language, power and pedagogy"(Cummins, 2000). The paper first introduces Cummins' psycholinguistic theories such as BICS/CALP, interdependence hypothesis and threshold hypothesis, as well as his comments on and responses to the subsequent discussions on these theories in the field of bilingual education. It next illustrates his framework of collaborativee empowerment, which considers minority students' learning in relation to the societal power relations both at the micro and macro level. Finally, this paper refers to the possibility of the transformative pedagogy in the area of multicultural education, which Cummins discusses in the book. | |||||
