However, their attitudes became positive over the course of this study\u0027s support activities. The purpose of this study is to explore the process of attitudinal transformation in native supporters participating in classes that were based on the \u0027Interactive ability development model for subject studies in children\u0027s native language and Japanese\u0027. Semi-structured interviews were conducted for three native supporters. Resultant data were qualitatively analyzed using a modified grounded theory approach. Analysis results demonstrated that the factors behind the supporters\u0027 attitudinal transformation constituted an inquiry-based approach to learning support with the following components: 1) investigation of the children\u0027s proficiency in their native language. 2) introduction of native language and culture into Japanese class. 3) creation of original teaching materials drawing upon the children\u0027s proficiency in their native language. 4) collaboration with Japanese supporters. 5) knowledge acq\\\nuired from interacting and working together with children.",
